We were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian village and the beach was less than a 5 minute walk. It was incredibly beautiful and the water was a nice temperature. During our one week stay, we were sure to hit the beach every day!

This beach is very busy with locals and tourists. Not many amenities actually on the beach unless you are staying at one of the beach side hotels. The water is very calm due to a reef offshore and is shallow far our making it [perfect for families with children.
You'll love this beach if you enjoy crowds and people watching. We visited this time at the eastern side near the Kahanamoku statue. Luckily, there was a small breakwall which attracted many fish, so that I was able to snorkel. Someone also saw a turtle near this wall.
This is not the beach for a quiet afternoon, and generally poor for watching marine life. It is a good location for obtaining a pic of the sunset, but not sunrise.
It's beautiful here and is a good place to go if you are looking to be energized by other people and the nightlife of Waikiki. The beach is nice, but much more manufactured than other beaches in Oahu. At certain parts of the beach they have built in fake "reefs" or barricade walls that allows water to gently flow in and out of the shore but eliminates waves, making a sort of pool-like set up, good for kids and swimmers wanting a gentle tide. There are bathrooms and shower stations up and down the beach.
Have you ever thought moving your meeting from the conference room into the sand? best meetings are when its participants connect with natural elements, with their inner greatness and each other
Waikiki beach belongs to my favorite beaches. It's a must see! Make sure to use sunprotection because you get easily burned.
