For our family trip, this property had literally everything we needed for us as parents and for our teenager and our younger kiddo.
The property itself is older and they have made some updates and renovations; you can tell this when you arrive into the rooms. In the rooms you were supplied with typical things as well as extra things that we as a family appreciated, such as refillable water bottles and robes and slippers.
We stayed 2 nights in the mountain view room which was beautiful, we stayed the remainder 5 nights in a beach front room which was just magnificent. Nothing but blue skies, white clouds (every now and then), and never ending blue waters.
The SWIM and SHOR restaurants had delish menu offerings. We ate loco moco, a variety of fish dishes, and burgers. There is a little something for everyone there. Healthy and non healthy.
The pool was small but it had the best view (like our room), where no other hotels are in the way of the beautiful beach. In fact, we ended every day at the pool and ate at least 4 meals at SWIM because it was just what we wanted. We had everything, including shopping varieties right in the hotel. We didn't need to or wanted to walk "rodeo" drive that offered so much more, maybe went to International Marketplace one day and Ala Moana, but the rest of our week was enjoying the beach, surfing, Pearl Harbour, Luaus, and more beach and pool.
The only reason I gave it a four star...while they had many varieties of shopping and eateries, only about 60% of those were open; additionally, I think housekeeping should be consistent and when we moved rooms, the items in each room was not the same. Other than that, everything was amazing.
