Checkin on level 5 was quick and easy, but a little strange as it was via a door located in the elevator / carpark entrance lobby.

Condo 3308 (tower 1) was very very clean, with basic appointments, however the kitchen has a full stove, lots of pots or pans, and plenty of cooking utensils which completed the kitchen.

The king size bed (climb up bed) was very spacious and comfortable with a 5cm foam layer above the mattress. A sofa bed in the combined lounge/ dining area. There was a no dining table, but a breaffast bar which seated 4 The bathroom is cosy and features an in-tub shower.

The condo facilities included, free wifi and free parking but did lack any sort of beach equipment, which was disappointing. We asked reception or some beach equipment and they were untruthful to us, indicating that they would call us when some became available, but truth is, beach equipment is provided by the condo owners, and not the Koko Resort booking agents.

Beach towels are available at the reception on level 5. A daily cleaning service is not available, however mid stay service is available with additional fees for this service. A coin operated laundry with washer and dryer located on each floor costing $2 per machine for use (total $4 for wash and dry).

The complex has a pool, spa, tennis court, bbq area and kids play area and a convenience store at the ground floor level.

The condo on level 33, had amazing water views and Waikiki city views.

Despite the condo buildings being 1 block from the beach and on the corner of Oahu and Kuhio Ave, all things in Waikiki are a short walk away.

For those wanting more living space, without the resort fees and where a daily service is not required, i would thoroughly recommend these condos.

room did not have enough towels and linens for 6 guest although it was said that it would. There were sheets provided for the sofa bed, which had not been cleaned. A pillowcase had hair and an eyelash on it, a blanket had food/food crumbs all over it. And they smelled like sweat, which was gross. I doubt the were cleaned at all. Had to call to have these items replaced.

Arriving at 3 AM to a room that had dirty carpet and smelt like smoke was not the best first impression. Secondly for an apartment that has been advertised to sleep 6 good luck as both the sofas were broken.
Yes its close to the beach and down town Waikiki which is the only reason i am giving this property two stars.
The pool, BBQ and other facilities are always busy so good luck trying to have use of them.
I hope that other condos within this complex are better than what we stayed at, as I will not be returning to Waikiki on my next trip to the islands.

We booked our room at the Waikiki Banyan through Koko Resorts. I would definitely recommend booking through Koko verses booking through Aston (who run the front desk). This allowed us to choose the specific room we wanted, which was one with two queen beds instead of the two twin bed configuration that the Aston rooms primarily offer.

Our room (3208) was recently renovated, beautifully decorated, and had an absolutely stunning view of the ocean. It was clean, and well equipped with everything we could need. This made up for the fact that the Waikiki Banyan building/common areas are very dated and run down.

The recreation deck on the 6th floor was lovely, although we preferred to spend our time at the beach only a five minute walk down the road.

Our sleep quality was affected by the traffic noise late into the night.

Parking usually costs $20 per night but it was included with the room from Koko Resorts. There are five floors for parking but they tend to fill up quickly, especially in the evening.

Free wifi (fast + reliable) was also included with our room. There was no resort fee. Daily cleaning was not included - maid service was available for a fee. We were able to ask at the Koko Resorts office on the 5th floor for clean towels and toiletries as we needed them. The staff were pleasant and easy to deal with.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for moderately affordable accommodations, especially if you want a kitchen.

We are looking forward to coming back in the future!

Room Tip: Book with Koko Resorts
