We are celebrating our 28th anniversary in Hawaii and went to happy hour at Herringbone. We have visited Herringbone and Seersucker in San Diego/La Jolla and have enjoyed there various versions of brussel sprouts each restaurant serves. This one did not disappoint!! Started with their Mixology Challenge verion of a pineapple Mai Thai, with yellow tail crudo. A dozen bearing point oysters, some Ray Ray's fries and the brussel sprouts. All fantastic. Arrive at 4 when they start as by 5 they were hop'in !! We will be back to try their shrimp and grits and next.

Thank Paul C

This restaurant has nice food and decor. However the ambience is more “sports bar” than date night. We sat away from the bar, but the loud music and unruly guests were awful. We even asked the manager if she could ask one table to please be a little more quiet (they seemed drunk and were literally shouting) and she shrugged her shoulders and said we could move tables.

Loud loud loud. Think “Dave and Busters” instead upscale dining when you decide if you want to eat here

Caught up with friends for a really enjoyable dinner at the Herringbone Seafood Restaurant. Service from our waiter Kim was faultless with his knowledge of the menu and food on offer amazing along with a detailed understanding of the wine list which he was able to clearly explain to our table. This added real value to our eating experience. The back room service delivery was a little disjointed where we had to chase up twice the mineral water and bottle of wine. Not a show stopper however. With four in our group, we had a range of food from from oysters and prawns through to snapper fillets and Alaskan king crab and a great range of deserts to finish off. The live music at times was interuptingly loud where we found ourselves having the almost shout in conversation. This eased back on their second bracket - again not a show stopper. Would have to caution on price - before tips the bill was $524.00 with four in our group. In fairness - we did have top end quality seafood, service and ambience in return.

We tried many restaurants in the vicinity of Herringbone but were unable to secure a table. Herringbone had a table for four available, so in we went and so glad we decided to eat at this restaurant. The service was very good and the food to match. The chefs special...marinated char grilled octopus, was delicious and the pizzas chosen by our group were tasty, well presented and delivered hot to the table. Drinks (wine) were on the expensive side, but beer and drinks for the children were ok. We were seated in the open garden area and the ambience was warm and a gentle breeze kept us cool. The roof was closed quickly when rain arrived, and the wait staff were very attentive and happy throughout. Recommend for couples, groups and family.

Yes, this place is pretty pricey, but it is so worth every penny. This was literally the best steak I have ever had...ever! There were a ton of family style appetizers that delicious (crab legs and avocado toastettes). The brownie and homemade ice cream dessert was melt in your mouth delicious. Its a splurge but so worth it. If you want to try it of r a little less, stop by during oyster hour.
