I absolutely loved staying at the Hale Koa Hotel-For so many reasons!!!
The rooms are spacious! At the least get a partial ocean view room. It's so wonderful to smell the ocean in the air. Nice sized balconies but don't leave the glass door open or your room will be filled with birds. Room rates are based on military rank.
The commissary is small but the best priced items on the island are in that store. You name it: beer, water, straw hats even leis. It's a great place to pick up last minute gifts.
The pools!! There's one for the kids and one for the grownups!! Pick up a program and enjoy aqua yoga before you start your day. They have a free guided tour thru the gardens and other fun stuff.
The grounds are amazing! So many colors & species of plants and trees-your going to fall in love with Gus!
The Tiki bar...what a great way to enjoy the sunset with a Mai Tai in hand :) On Fridays you can watch the fireworks!!
There are a number of restaurants. We mostly hit the breakfast places....best snorkeling is in the morning!
Enjoy!!! We've been there twice, so looking forward to our 3rd visit-Aloha!
