Great Stay and room considering not much open. They are doing the best they can considering the Pandemic. Enjoyed my view and the convenience of location. Worth the half off stay. Hoping thing get better soon and Covid test aren’t mandatory. Less than 25% of the tourist wearing masks! Why? Total inconsideration!!

As an owner you still have to pay this fee, even valet was 70$ a night. Parking is in another structure building then it like a 5 min walk to back to the resort and the parking there is almost 50$ a night.

We had a 1 bedroom suite. It was great for our family of 4 with small children. I bought food from ABC and cooked breakfast daily, which saved money and saved a long trek to find breakfast seating. The washer and dryer was great- I never thought I would be doing laundry on vacation, but it helped to wash all of our beach clothing before going home. We had a resort/city view with a slice of the ocean. It was pretty! The rooms are very quiet. We had multiple families with small children on either side of us, and I only heard them if they were in the hall.

The only negatives were:
1) the ridiculous shower setup. The shower door only covers 1/2 of the shower, which allows water to spray all over the floor. Our bathroom floor was wet our entire stay, because it was difficult to keep it mopped up. I’m not talking a little water.... it was A LOT!
2) they need to get different coffee makers. The one in the room needs to be completely emptied before the next brew, but you can’t see if it’s empty or full. I ended up going to the ABC store each day for coffee.
3) in general, the Hilton property is not keeping up with Covid freedoms. The open air restaurants and bars by the beach are not open. Why not? You’ll likely have to go offsite to dine. Only one Starbucks is open, and you’ll get coffee if you want to wait over an hour. Open the water slides- all of them!

The Refrigerator was constantly making noise like a low bang and the ice maker did not shut off. The room was dusty and being allergic to dust, my wife was sick the whole time and the bathroom smelled like a public toilet no matter how much we sprayed Lysol. Had to keep the bathroom doors closed because the smell went throughout the apartment. The front desk personnel were alright except for a couple of Japanese women clerks who were quite disingenuous and seemed to always be in a hurry to get you out. On top of all this,,, we had to pay a daily $40.00 Resort Fee for amenities/restuarants/bars/spas WERE NOT EVEN OPENED OR AVAILABLE!!! They did provide coupon books to tours and some restaurants but some if not all were not even open for business!!! Just for informational purposes, we did stay at another Hilton property in the same area couple months back and their normal daily resort fee was also $40.00 per day but because most of their amenities and services were closed they only charged us $20.00/day. Additionally, the one pool and lounge area which we would have really used, was not even in operation as it was closed for renovations. Luckily we were able to find outside parking or that would have been an additional $49.00/day plus tax which is ridiculous, especially at this time with tourism just starting to come back!! To top it off, we stayed there because it was my birthday and there was not even a a card, a piece of chocolate, candy, etc. Really bad experience. Would not recommend the Hilton Grand Islander to anyone!
