Our first visit to this lovely museum. Native American anthropology and artwork from the region including basets, pottery, jewelry and kachinas. Tony Abeyta had a solo show on exhibit at the time of our visit. What a talented artist. His mediums were oils, charcoal & pencil, watercolor and totem poles of wood with paint. The man is truly a gifted artist, as the work was exceptional in all the different mediums.

I have been visiting this museum since I was a child--it has fantastic displays on the Native American cultures from Anazasi to current Pueblos.

Went to the museum with a few friends visitng Flag and this museum explains and displays everything one wants to know about the Colorado Plateau and it's many inhabitents over many, many years. Jewelry, baskets, weapons, toys, clothing and dwellings are a few period pieces in abundance thoughout the museum. Hopi, Apache, Navojo, Pai, Yuni and other tribes are highlighted. There is currently a special display section of a famous Indian artist and his father's paintings. The people who greeted us were very nice and the two ladies in the gift shop were extremly helpful with our many questions about Indian artifacts. My second trip here and it won;t be my last.

A very interesting museum set in a fabulous building. Informative displays without being overwhelming. Outstanding gift shop....a lot to offer but rather expensive.
