Fun, crazy, loud, over the top experiences visiting the P bar! Ringing the bell was a fun birthday experience but having someone else ring the bell was even better. Staff was mostly friendly, drinks are strong, beer is cold. Jukebox is great and if you need to pick up a 12 pack, there is off sale available as well.

Definitely a local type bar, with friendly bar tender and patrons. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Nothing fancy, but clean and a real local flavor to it. Lots of pictures from the years cover the walls. Just a fun place to stop and have a drink. A little off the main area of town

We were told that the "P" bar is the oldest in Alaska but nobody that worked there could confirm. They have a cigarette vending machine...$15 per pack. Lots of smokers which is GROSS but just had to go check it out. Fun pictures on the walls. A total "locals" bar.We stopped on our way back to our hotel after fishing. Afterwards we washed our clothes and bodies to get rid of Smoke and Fish smells.

Great staff and fair prices. There are tons of pictures to look at on the walls. I highly recommend that you look, and ask questions about any unique picture that you see. Most of them are local stories which area both amazing and funny.

Great local bar!! Our bar tender was friendly and made us feel right at home! Walls are covered with old pictures of fisherman and fishing boats. Has its own liquor store attached to the bar. Nice place to have a drink!
