Great staff and fair prices. There are tons of pictures to look at on the walls. I highly recommend that you look, and ask questions about any unique picture that you see. Most of them are local stories which area both amazing and funny.

Great local bar!! Our bar tender was friendly and made us feel right at home! Walls are covered with old pictures of fisherman and fishing boats. Has its own liquor store attached to the bar. Nice place to have a drink!

Local bar with a small wine and liquor store attached. Located several blocks from the cruise ship terminal. Tourists welcome. Heavy pours and unusually reasonable prices.

The bar was close to where we were staying, my friends and I love local bars, but the service really sucked and the smoke was brutal. Plenty of other places in town with better service and breathable air. Maybe we hit it on a bad day, but if it was a good day, i would hate to see a bad day.

The Pioneer Bar, or P bar as the locals call it, has a local Alaskan ambience, smoke filled at times, but offers a great place to hang out. With countless old photos of fish and ships on the walls, Sitka's history comes alive here. Great local beers on tap and a full bar, it's a must stop for all. I don't recommend ringing the bell hanging up over the bar though.
