The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. The furnishings were old and worn but functional. This is not a fancy place but it met our basic needs. The Wifi worked fairly well but I had to log on each day. The place was full each night we were there so the breakfast area was rather congested.

An average comfortable stay in a motel that is not the most up-to-date. The breakfast area was way too small for the size of the hotel. We could not find a place to sit down after getting our food. The location was ideal for visiting the Sequoia National Park and the motel staff were very friendly.

We were surprised that we had been given the key to rooms not ready. Housekeeping girls were embarrassed. Poor communication with front desk. Desk staff not very friendly. Rooms were clean. Bed was good.

Long walk outside to breakfast. Good choices for breakfast but no Peanut Butter nor Cream Cheese. Tea was black or green.

What else is appropriate to say except... Magnificent!!!! The hike down to the General Sherman tree and the Crystal Cave are must. Pace yourself ... The trek back up is steep and can be challenging for us average folk. Simply God’s country!!!

I chose this motel because of previous good experiences with this brand. Big mistake! The unit was in terrible condition. When we opened the sofa bed for my 68 year old sister, three of the bed springs fell on the floor. My husband sat on the corner of the opened sofa bed to put water in the mini fridge and fell through to the floor. When people in the room above us used hot water in their bathroom something up there squeled so badly we couldn't hear the television. The hotel was full so we couldn't change rooms. We endured the squeal for 45 minutes in the evening, sighed with relief when they were finished only to have them shower again at 4:15 AM. Breakfast was a disaster. Inadequate food, poor service, and unsanitary conditions! I had reservations for a second night, but NO WAY!!! I wouldn't have stayed even if they gave me the room for free. Even the location didn't make it worth it!

Room Tip: Don't stay here!
