Sometimes we pay the price for being curious, and at the Midwest Grill we certainly did.
Just from the appearance of the entrance, we should have been warned. The windows were dirty and had old poster tape still attached. Daylight allowed us to see just how shabby everything was. At night it may not be so noticeable. However I' sure the smell coming from the rest rooms, right next to the buffet, are a permanent feature.
The only good things at the buffet was the fresh lettuce, the cooked broccoli and carrots. There were two dishes labeled as some types of chicken salad. Neither had any discernible amount of chicken and were watery.
A for the shaved meats, beef, chicken, pork, and sausage, all were on the dry side, and salty.
Although there were only a few other diners, the service was slow. We had to request our check from someone clearing a table after a ten minute wait, and then another five minutes for the waiter to bring us the check.
