Location is great - convenient walking distance to restaurants and shopping in Plaza. Hotel Staff very helpful providing recommendations and directions. Traveling alone, so standard room was large enough, but may have been cramped with 2 people and luggage for 2. Standard room amenities are sparse - no in-room mini-fridge or coffee maker. Note to travelers with disabilities - in room there was a step up to get to bathroom.

The room we got after a late night arrival was in an unacceptable condition. There was a big crack in the ceiling. One night water dripped through that crack and made a continious annoying dripping-noise that kept us awake all night...this crack seemed to have existed for quite a long time since the room also smelled damp. However, St Francis Hotel still offers this renovation needing room to guests. They were not able to give us an alternative room since they were booked out. Very poor performance for a 4-star hotel...

this is so centrally located it is fantastic! great boutique hotel, friendly staff, super clean. Parking is included, lot is across the street. Hard wood floors in rooms, windows that work... great stay!

A gorgeously decorated hotel in the heart of Santa Fe. Truly could NOT have had a better location. The decor is gorgeous upon entering the hotel., super striking. The rooms, though, were cramped, especially the bathroom (the toilet is touching the bathtub and you could open the door from the potty). There's few places to set luggage since the rooms were sparsely decorated. Since the building is old the heat is kind of wonky - so you were either boiling hot, or freezing. The water also smelled super strongly of sulfur, which was pretty off-putting when washing ones face at night. My biggest complaint, though, was that there are literally no services. No room service, no bellman to help w/ bags or to even open the door when road weary travelers come in carrying luggage and toddlers - I don't even think they had carts available.
To end on a high note, though, the bar had incredible cocktails and every single person who worked at the hotel st. francis was super friendly - so that's a bonus!

We picked the Hotel St. Francis for our first visit to Santa Fe. The description was everything we were looking for AND they accepted pets. It is absolutely lovely. The big bonus was the staff.

First, one of our dogs had an "accident" in the lobby. While we were dying of embarrassment, the bartender just told us not to worry. He was a dog person himself. So, he was unfazed as he cleaned up.

Then, about three hours after we checked out and almost 200 miles away, we received a call from Abraham Juarez, the general manager. I hadn't realized that I left a valuable watch in the room. The housekeeper found it. Not only did it get reported, but Abraham also took responsibility to ship it back to me.

I couldn't be more grateful. I would stay here again just because of how cute the hotel is, but after this I would recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Fe.

Room tip: Very close to the square, lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance
