Staying here one night in a king executive. Chose it due to location to the Alamo.it was advertised with great pics of a view to the Alamo but in reality it's really not the same at all. Our two sets of friends who we also booked in for about also claimed the same issue in their rooms.
We arrive at 3 cut Check in is at 4 pm - latest I have ever heard of in all my 30 years of travels and we had to wait as the room wasn't ready.
Hotel clean but very tired and very dated with fixtures chipped and falling apart.
Swimming pool in need of a refurb.
Room next to us were having a fight for hours (6 or so voices) and there was swearing and banging. We are positive we smelled drugs being smoked too.
Not enough toiletries in bathroom for both of us to have a shower at night and in the morning.
Bed big and comfortable.
I said hello to the staff member at the pool who was standing next to me and looking at me and she just turned her head away and didn't respond.
Doorman is almost sleeping on the sidewalk. Never opens the door. Never even looks up to acknowledge anyone at all. Go and check for yourself - it's hilarious!
Probably would not stay here again unless they changed staff and made some effort to modernise.
