Hands down this was the most interesting and fun hotel I've ever stayed at. I was traveling across the country with my cat when I happened upon The Clifton. Much to my delight it was not an ordinary hotel. The room was huge and had unique amenities, such as novels on the nightstands, vintage glasses next to the ice bucket in the "sitting area," and free Netflix and Hulu. The décor was outstanding - all local artisan made. My favorite part was the courtyard for dining, drinking, or just hanging out. I had a delicious meal at the outdoor bar (in the courtyard) and enjoyed some friendly discussion with the bartender and other patrons at the bar. I didn't stay awake long enough to enjoy the small party in the courtyard (where they have chimeneas!), but it sounded like there was fun to be had. Additionally, the hotel is located in an historic area, so I walked the neighborhood the next day and visited a few sites - Teatro Carmen and the Jewish History Museum to name a couple. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spotless. If I ever make it back to Tucson, this is where I'll stay.More
