I have now started referring friends to stay at this hotel...as much as I would like to keep it a secret, it's just not possible! Fun, quirky, and very well run...with a great pool area and stunning local artists art graffitied on the walls.

I was so surprised at how cute this place was. They've done a great job of creating a fun and inviting vibe at this roadside motel. It's an adorable mid century revival with colorful accents that highlight the desert chic design. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with two casino chips which could each be redeemed for wine or beer. We chose wine and were delighted to enjoy a gorgeous Arizona red blend. It was delicious and hit the spot after a long day of driving.

Pets - Very dog friendly. There's a refundable pet deposit upon check in, and then the dogs can have the run of the place. There's a nice dog area out front with pebble and a small turn second for them to relieve themselves. They also provide poop bags which is nice touch in case you've forgotten yours.

Room service - room service is avail! They are very covid safe, so no worries there.

The Room - Super cute hipster vibe. Great big TV on the wall, and a cute red retro refrigerator in the corner. There was also a desk with a chair a nice sized sink/changing area connected to a small bathroom. The shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body soap on the wall which was a great touch. There's a harsh exposed light bulb in there which wouldn't have been my choice. I'd recommend them getting the ones that are dipped in silver or gold to defuse the harsh light.

The only thing that could use work is the bed. Our's (room 314) was very squeaky and loud, which resulted in my husband and I waking each other up every time we turned over. Needless to say, we didn't have a great night's sleep, which is of course always the goal. For as adorable and friendly as this place is, sleep should always be prioritized. That's the only reason I'm giving this a 4 star review and not a 5 star review. I hope that's an easy fix. If so, I'd absolutely come back any time I'm passing through town!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We're glad to see you enjoyed your stay for the most part and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. The feedback on the beds is super helpful as we definitely want all of our guests to get a great night's sleep. We're sorry to hear you didn't got anything less than that. We'll be sure to have our facilities manager take a peek and see if there's a way we can fix that squeak for future guests. Cheers and be well!

We stayed here for one night with our dog and it was simply perfect.
Check in was easy (drive through).
The staff were all really friendly.
The bed and pillows were super comfy.
Complimentary breakfast including warm oats.
The art in the rooms and around the hotel is great.
Lots to see or do, or a prefect place to relax by the pool.
A great find. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed several time during covid in travels to and from LA and Texas. The beds are comfortable, service excellent, amenities nice and best of all they take covid seriously. This is the best hotel we have stayed in and they need to be recognized for their efforts. Many say they do things but this hotel says and does what it says on their website. We felt as safe as one can feel during these times. Kudos to the owners and staff.

We stayed here for two nights while we were exploring Saguaro NP and doing some hiking. We wanted to stay somewhere non-corporate, and this was great. The people were extra-friendly. The free beer was a nice touch. The local art in the rooms and on the murals around the property were lots of fun. I specifically looked for a place that seemed to take COVID seriously, and they really seemed to be serious about it (which is a great thing for us). Everyone wore masks, check in was distanced, and as much was done outside as possible. I loved that we were only feet from our vehicle and we didn't have to take an elevator.

Now what could be improved? Well, it's a pet-friendly hotel, and our neighbors left their dog inside their room while they were gone. We would get back from hiking in the mid-afternoon and want to rest and nap, but the poor dog whined and cried for hours. We ran two separate white noise machines, but we could still hear it well into the night until the owners returned. The heating/cooling unit had extensive instructions, and we followed it to the letter, and yet it still would click on and off nearly every minute. We wound up just turning it off, which is a possibility in November, but probably less so in the summer. Finally, I'm assuming for safety purposes, there are bright lights outside the windows, but there are no blackout curtains. So even at 2am the room had the feel of twilight.

My husband and I had a long talk about whether we would return. It's super cool, but sleep quality is really important to us, and we simply slept terribly. Ultimately, we decided that if we were to come back to Tucson, we would likely stay here again, but we would bring ear plugs, a portable fan/extra blankets, and eye masks.

Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and provide some really helpful feedback! We always appreciate, it, the good and the bad. I'm sorry to hear about your less than ideal night of sleep and your neighbors pooch. It's in our pet policies that pets cannot be left in rooms unattended for exactly this reason. Should this ever come up in the future, please don't hesitate to let us know so we can get with your neighbors. We're always down to give a friendly reminder of our policies, especially if it means we are ensuring that ALL of our guests enjoy their stay. All of our rooms do have both sheer curtains and black out curtains on the main window next to the doors leading out of your room. However if you were staying in a King Kitchenette suite, there is the smaller frosted glass window above the kitchenette counter that currently do not have a curtain. We've been on the hunt for a durable option on these uniquely sized windows and appreciate you sharing your experience. We'd love to host you again in the future and definitely appreciate your sharing your experience. If you get with us at Front Desk we will gladly set you up with complimentary ear plugs and/or a soothing white noise machine that you can borrow if it will help you get the good night's sleep we strive for! Cheers and safe travels :)
