This place is retro-vintage w/ shared Vegas Flamingo history in design/builder and yet updated w/ many modern features never expected at this price. The work desk area and night stands had more charging ports than most guests would ever need. I tend to always search close to campus when I travel for work because a room is just to sleep and shower, however, due to rising AZ Covid cases I stayed in the room more w/ excellent WiFi and all day sunshine on the front private patio. My original stay plans at another hotel were lost so I called Red Roof Flamingo and spoke w/ Dan. When I arrived the front lobby was clean & neat. Dan, Jay and the entire staff were welcoming and friendly. It's a national brand but clearly ran like a family owned motel. Like the title says nothing is perfect. Parking can be a challenge on a busy night, the area does have some transient people but that's almost everywhere in Tucson these days. The entire staff are constantly each day cleaning and keeping up the property. This is a hidden little gem in the desert w/ a free sunset every night!
