Tues afternoon arrival for 4 night stay, picked room on app but it wasn’t ready so got top floor non connecting room 3311 in building 3 instead of original room in building 1. No need to take elevators, you just go up short flight of stairs walk through building 4 and into building 3. Really liked that we were able to self-park and it was free. The resort is big and the 4 buildings form a horseshoe around the main building. The odd number rooms face outside so the even numbers face into resort. Be cognizant that if you pick ground floor room in building 1 facing out you have mountain view but will be staring into a parking lot and if you pick any inside ground floor facing room people are able to see in. I would opt for an outside mountain facing room on high floor since they will afford more privacy, we had coffee in the morning and then drinks in evening on balcony before we went out.
Hilton Gold got us free breakfast every morning in Sundance Café, outdoor seating was great, the buffet is good and plentiful, but watch out for the small birds they are thieves. Also tried Epazote for dinner one night for the prime rib special. The resort is well maintained, pools are nice, there is a lot of staff and they are all friendly, housekeeping was great - room spotless and...Tues afternoon arrival for 4 night stay, picked room on app but it wasn’t ready so got top floor non connecting room 3311 in building 3 instead of original room in building 1. The resort is well maintained, pools are nice, there is a lot of staff and they are all friendly, housekeeping was great - room spotless and left us plenty of towels and toiletries every day. We had issue with a room across the hall from us, occupant was smoking and left our room smelling of smoke. Housekeeping sent up an industrial sized air purifier which took care of it.
We used hotel as base to go to Saguaro NP and Chiricahua Nat’t monument. Also take ride to Pima Air museum you will have great time. Go to Kneaders Bakery and Which Wich for sandwiches before you head out to NP’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone.More
