Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

i have a condo close to Hacienda del Sol. My guy friend and myself love to go
there for cocktails (happy hour) and sit outside to see the sunset. This is an absolutely
gorgeous property, great picture taking opportunities. The only problem is that you have to go inside to tell them you'll
be outside, and they rarely check to see if you need anything else. We ate dinner there
one night and we both thought it was a very small menu with not alot of interesting or
common interest food; our servings were very small and we both felt it was over-priced.
i was told when i sent a complaint email that they would have a summer menu so that
might be better or less pricey. The bar itself is quite beautiful too if you need to be inside.
We checked out the rooms which look comfy and nice.

The king room we had reserved had been having difficulty with keys prior to our arrival so we were immediately upgraded to a king suite at no additional cost. It was beautiful, spacious, excellent lighting. We were able to leave the blinds open for the view overlooking the beautiful Santa Catalina foothills and Tucson valley. The rooms were so private. The bed was without a doubt the most comfortable bed ever. The grounds were stunning. The landscaping was endlessly fascinating. We enjoyed exploring the grounds finding hummingbirds, lizards, quail families, woodpeckers, cactus flowers, desert hares...The food at the restaurant was delicious. The bar was lovely and lots of fun. The service was wonderful, everyone was pleasant and helpful. We loved it!

We stayed at the resort for the 4th of July weekend. We were very impressed with the details of the room and the cleanliness. The place is full of history so don't be surprised to find it everywhere you go. We went to The Grill for brunch but to be honest it was a little overpriced even with the discount although the service was excellent. The facilities are close to everything so feel free to drive around town and discover the wonders of Tucson. The views are breathtaking and if you have time schedule a horseback riding. Jane is an excellent tour guide and she will take care of you. We will be there again for sure.

The setting is lush and lovely for this very pretty inn. I was part of a tour, so the we were all placed in rooms near the front of this property. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice with pretty orange trees nearby...and the view was nice too. We had a ridiculously long wait for a table in the grill, and once seated, service was very slow. I'd go back...

I spent almost a week at Hacienda del Sol during June, 2011 (off season). I got a terrific price on the room since many people are shy of the 100 degree weather. Actually, the temperature is quite tolerable because there is zero humidity. The rooms are clean and very pleasant. The food in the patio restaurant is just as high quality as the 5-star grille. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I used the spa service which was also delightful.

Room Tip: As for a room near the cactus garden.
