Pima canyon is a great place to hike and get some nice views of the city. It will be challenging if you go far enough in. You can always stop and turn around if it gets to be too much. First few miles are easy.

Excellent for a quiet hike on non-paved trails. Wonderful view of the west side of Tucson. Some nice waterfalls reward you for your hiking.

nice hike with ups and downs but not too many steep places; trail on the rockier side; lots of shade once you are into the canyon (30-45 minutes from trailhead)

The Pima Canyon Trail begins in a neighborhood at the Iris O Dewhirst Trailhead. The beginning is a little rocky, but fairly flat and easy. The views are really pretty. The end is pretty overgrown and too many ferns for my liking, but I would recommend this trail

A standard wonderful Tucson hike, some altitude gain and not much water (always bring some, or a lot in the heat). Not wheelchair accessible nor for those with balance, endurance or orthopedic problems. It's and in and out hike so go far as you like among typical Sonoran Desert flora. If lucky there will be a few stream crossings and a bit of standing water. Best from Oct to April.
