We came here hoping for sunshine, wilderness, isolation, and hiking, and were absolutely thrilled with our decision. We also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Gale and Richard, who are wonderful people and who did so much to ensure we had a perfect vacation.
The property is surrounded by wilderness, which means beautiful scenery, sunsets and sunrises, and a respite from civilization. There is a beautiful view from the patio, which has a fireplace (a perfect accompaniment to watching the sun rise in the early morning) and a hot tub and telescope (which are lovely for evenings/nights). For hikers, there are several short/medium hikes and paths in the immediate vicinity, and tons of amazing hiking options in nearby Saguaro National Park and other state parks in the area. During our week we also found time to visit the Desert Museum (highly recommend!), Kartchner Caverns, and to twice have dinner in Tucson, all of which are easily accessible by car.
We loved our stay, and would do it again in a heartbeat.More
