“A respite in the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2012

TBG is a remarkable area that is maintained in a manner that dates back decades, maybe longer. To say it's verdant is an understatement. It's beautiful in appearance and spirit. People come to TBG and for a little while can leave their cares behind. Food is served. Don't miss the hummingbirds and butterflies in season and the bats at night. TBG has programs among its many other events (including weddings and prom nights). No visit to Tucson is complete without seeing the Gardens.

“Great at certain times of the year”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2012

The butterfly exhibit alone is worth the price of admission. The outdoor train is also lots of fun. Some times of the year are better than others in terms of "what's blooming" but there is always something to see. Well worth a visit.

“Wonderful peaceful desert botanical gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2012

It's a walking desert botanical garden, great education along the trails, beautiful gift shop. The Butterfly Magic exhibit was magical and such an amazing experience, a must see! The only thing we were disappointed with was the cafe, needs a total update and expansion, it was really just like a small deli, not charming at all.
