We had three rooms altogether. Rooms are large enough, very sober. Not sure why the sink is located in the room, outside the bathroom? There is a very busy, and let's say not first class, camping site located right next to the hotel; not a comforting, agreeable thing to look at from one's window. There was a buzzing sound (from the alarm or the lighting system?) annoying quite a few of our party.

Thank you for your review Patrick. I am sorry you had booked the non view room which faces the back of the RV Park. The buzzing sound you would of heard throughout the night would be the Harbour Fog Horn.

We were traveling north on 101 and needed a stop for the night. After stopping in Eureka and fearing for our safety at the national chain hotels there, we were happy to find a safe, clean and available place to stay. Reasonable price and seemed clean. Functional and not plush but we were happy to find this place.

Stayed two nights at Anchor Beach Inn. Paid an extra fee for a King room with a view of the beach. My thoughts were that the Inn would be on the beach. It's not. The beach is to the south of the Inn, across a road and a field. Not much of a view in my opinion. Better than overlooking the RV park behind the inn, but not worth the extra cost. The inn is old and the rooms show it. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the bath/shower was acceptable. Breakfast was typical budget hotel fare. Edible but not very good. No elevators so we had to lug all our luggage up the stairs to the second floor. Staff was pleasant and professional.

Thank you for your review. Yes you are correct we are not located on the the beach we are "next" to the beach. We are currently in remodelling stages, so if you are ever in Crescent City again, hope you get a chance to see our upgraded rooms!

The location is great. The room are descent. We had a second floor room with a killer view of the beach. The fireworks went on for hours, its was like nothing I'd ever seen. The continental breakfast was mediocre, but the staff was very friendly. Looking forward to a return visit

Thank you for your review Diane B. July 4th is one of the best times of the year to be here and especially with the oceanview rooms. The vibe that the beach goers give is amazing!! Look forward to your return visit!

The pictures online do not accurately represent this property. The rooms are dreadful, with soiled carpets, worn out mattresses. They totally misrepresented the view as it overlooks a RV park with a Trailer Park Boys kind of feel to it, not comforting.

Room tip: Go up the street and you will find a better deal. This place is a bummer.
