This hotel was the perfect place to stay if you want to visit Albuqerque's Old Town. I'm a real history buff so for me it was a real treat. It's just a short and pleasant walk from the hotel and there's so much to see there. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were great. We enjoyed the pool with it's amazing view of the mountains as well.

The hotel is in great location, very close to Old town, not far off I-40,set back from main road with loads of free parking spaces. Disclaimers all over the car park warning people not to leave valuables in car, not sure if this was down to a spate of thefts or just precaution notices.
We arrived too early to check in so popped into Old town for lunch & when we got back our room was ready.
Hotel was really busy with weddings & when we were allocated a room on the 8th floor we thought we'd wait ages for a lift but they were really quick & efficient. Nice spacious room with views across the plains so we could watch the hot air balloons taking off in the mornings. Bed was really comfy but housekeeping didn't service room until nearly 4pm & even then she asked if we wanted service or not, think she would have left it if she could. The carpet in the room was stained in places & could have done with a deep clean.

The hotel has lots of charm & character, nice areas to sit out & enjoy a drink/meal. We ate breakfast in Garduno's, friendly waitress service & a varied menu to choose from.

Highlight of our trip was going on the Breaking Bad RV Tour, highly entertaining & great seeing various sites used in the making of the series, oh & meeting Combo too.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher level & facing west so you can watch the hot air balloons taking off

Well located a few minutes stroll to the old part of town. Large comfortable room, standard style for its era, in other words devoid of contemporary trendy quirks. But had all you needed, comforatable bed. Relaxing outdoor spaces, patios, out door eating from their rather good Mexican restaurant. Suspect normally good value, but not so much (fair enough) in Ballon Week. Good hotel would use it again………and great staff.

The hotel is a good combination of historic and modern. A part of the hotel building and the rooms are historically styled with modern comfort. Many attractions are within walking distance. The food is good and free parking available.

Recently stayed here for a writers retreat. The customer service was excellent starting with check-in. The food was wonderful, and I enkoyed every meal. whether the catered food for our conference or the wonderful breakfast served on the patio. I had a mountain-view king room and the bed was extremely comfortable. In the mornings I woke to a view of balloons practicing for the ipcoming Balloon Fiesta. The hotel decor is very old Southwest, with comfy chairs in the spacious lobby and on the patio.
