We celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary at the Bottger Mansion, staying for one week in the William Hazeldine room. The bedroom was spacious, spic and span clean, with a large sink/dressing table. The king bed was comfortable; the bathroom (separated from the sleeping area by a door) was large and equipped with a toilet, hand-washing sink, and a shower/tub/Jacuzzi. Both the bedroom and bathroom have beautiful tiled floors, so slippers or socks are recommended for warmth on cold nights. Innkeepers, Kathy and Steve, are warm and gracious hosts. Steve's breakfasts are a world-class gourmet experience; Kathy's every-changing decor is beautiful. The title of our review is not an exaggeration.

Room Tip: Each room is unique with an historical motif related to Old Town Albuquerque

This was a romantic weekend get away, and we could not have wished for a better location. We chose the Bottger Mansion because it looked historic and the location to Old Town. Before booking we spoke with the owners, and they recommended the Route 66 Room, it was more that I expected, spacious, thought and attention to detail with the decoration and a private sunroom/sitting room. The breakfast room is the former front porch and the two mornings we were there we had green chili waffles, fresh fruit and home made mango sorbet, the next day was orange French toast and three berry sorbet and wild berries. The food was imaginative and beautifully presented. We did a day trip to Santa Fe, and the recommendations for the route, places to stop and places to eat were spot on. It was relaxing, we had some great conversations with the hosts, and their attention to detail really made the experience. It was like being part of the family, for example discussing ice cream and then being invited to have a taste of the latest batch of sorbet when we came in from dinner, home made cookies and tea/coffee available 24.7. I would go back and stay here again.

Room Tip: The largest rooms are on the ground floor.

We had a great stay at the Bottger Mansion B&B. Check in was easy, our room was fabulous and the location is great for walking around the area. The breakfast in the morning was rich and enjoyable! The historic home is well maintained by the inn-keepers, who are happy to share the history of the mansion and the area. They also will make great suggestions on where to eat!!

We stayed at the Bottger Mansion for 4 days. We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and relaxing it was, as we had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before. The location was perfect, our hosts were very gracious and accommodating, and we were close to Old Town. We are looking forward to staying there in the near future, hopefully this spring so that we can again enjoy the mansion and its atmosphere. Kathy and Steve were excellent in representing the hospitality of New Mexico. The pumpkin pancakes, red pepper jelly and the blueberry juice were so tasty. Thank you, again, Kathy and Steve

Room Tip: quiet rooms, comfortable beds, windows

This is an ideal location for the Old Town - a very short walk to the plaza and wide choice of places to eat (the hosts provide detail recommendations and descriptions of the options), but it was also quiet. Our room was comfortable and there is also a residents lounge with guide books and travel resources. Breakfast was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and there were some really thoughtful touches like mailing us ahead with details of how to find.
