We were traveling home from a family wedding and had stayed here before with our dog. We reserved the same room and were looking forward to it. Then hurricane Michael came along. We had been driving all day and looked at the weather on our phones but we thought we would be OK. When we checked into the room we turned on the TV to the strength and fury of Michael. My husband talked to the proprietor and they understood and refunded our room fee. We drove 14 hours and got home safely. Thank you 1842 Inn!!! We will be back.

Innkeeper greeted us with open arms; anything was not too much for her to do for our comfort. Special made us quiche - perfect. Had a couple cold adult beverages to finish a hard day of driving. Bedroom was antique-y but wonderfully comfortable. Bed was sublime. What do we want for breakfast? Anything was not too much.
Great stay - visit Macon surrounding area - very quaint.

We just had our third stay at the inn and it was as good as the last two. The inn is a beautiful building and there is a great attention to detail every place you look. The gardens and yards are lush and well maintained and the rooms are beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. Breakfast is made to order and is always perfect. But the best part of the stay is the staff - everyone is thoughtful, warm and friendly. We will be frequent visitors at the inn and are lucky to have it so close to Mercer University.
