Yeah, I know it's in an old historic building in an alley in downtown Macon Ga and that is part of the charm. But, there are other places in that area that have been updated inside a bit while retaining the charm of an old building. I don't think the carpet has been changed in 30 years. There is paint peeling off the walls. The decorations look like bargains from Smiley's flea market. This is not a cheap place to eat. The owners need to spend about $20k and at least make it somewhat presentable, Macon Ga is in dire need of nice places to eat. The food, service and drinks at the Downtown Grill are well done. The facility - not so much.
