“Good food and amazing views”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Stopped here for brekky after our hike to and around Lake Matheson.

Great food. Had Pancakes and shared some Mueslie with long black and Moccachino.

Al were tasty and fresh. Sat on the patio outside on a beautiful and sunny day. It was truly amazing after our hike.

“High hopes were not rewarded”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

This place came highly recommended so we were looking forward to having dinner here. The menu looked good and we ordered. After a wait of an hour our food arrived and was very well presented. However, our meat was raw. Not just a little pink. We sent it back and got no apology. The plate came back and all they had done was reheat the meat and put it back on the plate, together with some hair for good measure. On pointing this out the waitress simply shrugged and walked away. Service and food were therefore very disappointing.

“Wonderful place to enjoy the views and food!!”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stop at this location during our 9 day tour of New Zealand!
The views and hiking trails were perfect but the the food and hospitality were the real treat!
Don't miss the "Honeynut Slices"! They are worth the trip alone!!

“Go for the view and the coffee”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

can't beat the view - all the big peaks of NZ in one place. it is like sitting at the end of a telescope and seeing, in one view, all the greatest mountains of the entire country. coffee is excellent. the staff is mediocre. some of them are a little rude but it doesn't take away from the amazing location.
