This beach is located near the big resorts so the vibe is more "touristic" than other beaches that you can find driving south for a few minutes.

It is a nice beach and the water is calm enough to swim with kids so it is a good family option. However I found it less interesting than Big Beach for example, mostly because the view of the building around it made it less charming for me.

It was not my favorite, but it really depends of what you are looking for.

We enjoyed this beach very much. The only (little) problem is that it is about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot.
There are warnings for a strong under current so be very careful when exiting the water. Don't turn your back on the ocean.

Just wrapped a week on Maui with most of our time spent snorkeling in and our Wailea Beach and Wailea Point. The ease of beach access, gentle surf, and reef gave us near-perfect conditions.

A must-do is a visit to Wailea Beach.

Our favorite of all the beaches we visited... and we visited most beaches on Maui. Plenty of fish, coral and turtles to see. If you like snorkeling, don't miss this. The beach is a few hundred yards wide, but the best place to snorkel is to the right edge as you stand on the beach. The best time is the morning, because the afternoon winds pick up the surf and make it difficult to stay steady in the water.

Water is beautiful. Beach isn’t crowded (everyone stays at pool). Water is very calm compared to Big Beach down the road.
