We went over and spent a day here. Nice sandy beach, and nice and sandy right out into the deep water. We had a good time with the kids - did some boogie Boarding and swimming. There seems to be less wind on this part of the island too.
There are shower and concession facilities too.

Thank Waboolio

We love Polo Beach. The Fairmont Kia Lani is on this beach, and they provide chairs (probably for their patrons, but we help ourselves, since all beaches in the Hawaiian Islands are public)...great sand, usually pretty calm and you can purchase food & boogie boards (for rent) from the "Kia Lani"! We never go to Maui without a stop to Polo Beach.

I liked that it wasn't big and was very convenient as we were staying at the fairmont kea lani; beach equipment was provided by the hotel (at no charge b/c of renovations) - that helped. didn't have to worry about parking; the crowd was pretty much hotel guests - so not as much chance for negative people :)

We saw more coral & fish here than we did on a very expensive boat trip to Molokini. Saw octopus, eels, turtles & numerous colorful fish right off the beach. At times the waves were good enough for some good boogie boarding, but still the water remained very clear with great visibility, Should have saved our money and spent more time here than on the snorkel cruise!

Nice. but not in love like some beaches that have the soft sands and warm waters.
