My husband and I wouldn't dream of coming back to Maui without staying at the Grand Wailea. One of Hawaii's most precious features is its wonderful people, and this is nowhere more evident than here at the hotel.
A quick anecdote that illustrates what I mean: we had the pleasure of meeting Shai S., a sunny valet clerk who greeted us each morning as we picked up our car. One day at the pool, we were talking about how sad we were to leave this happy place behind. Imagine our astonishment when we returned to our hotel room and found an envelope containing dinner for two at Humu courtesy of Shai slipped beneath our door! Our dining experience was flawless and so romantic and it's all thanks to her and the wonderful Humu staff (especially Alex, the hostess who welcomed us, and our waitress, Karen, who made sure we had everything we could ever want).
Add to this a room with perfect sunset views, a spacious adult pool with tasty drinks delivered by the lovely waitress Aki, and the chipper, attentive housekeeping staff, and you have the makings of a restful getaway that will delight you in every way. A Maui must!More
