What an amazing experience. I took my 2 children and their cousins to attempt an escape room, they are aged between 11-13. It was brilliant fun, the place is lovely and clean and the staff extremely welcoming. I would highly recommend this place. The boys have already asked to go back.

Very very low budget and expensive for what there was.
Compared to other escape rooms we had been to, there was little effort put in and clues that no one could figure out.

I am very sorry that you didn't enjoy your escape room experience and that you felt it was low budget and the clues were too difficult. We have tried to create rooms that are fun to do and in this case we have obviously failed. We have tried to make the rooms interesting - for example the Nuclear Countdown laboratory was an actual laboratory and the invaders house has furniture from the period we are trying to recreate. As to the clues - they are not easy and we make no apologies for that as we believe an escape room should be challenging. That said, we always offer clues, either when asked or if we believe that someone is stuck on a particular clue. If this was not the case then I can only apologise. We have had hundreds of people through both our rooms and we always ask for feedback afterwards. The vast majority of the feedback has been positive and people have enjoyed themselves. I would love to discuss your further so please contact Ian at the centre if you are happy to do so. I'd love to know which room and specific feedback. Many thanks Ian

The website was unclear on availability when we tried to book the team virtual reality. Offered morning afternoon and evening sessions on booking site, but wouldn’t allow you to book anything within these. Plus says only open from lunchtimes Wed -Sat. from 12, so don’t understand how there’s a morning session for this? Tried calling the no a couple of times in open hours and only get answer machine, have left messages, but nobody has called back. Disappointing when trying to book something in the holidays and would think a new company would be on to customer service. Need a clearer website if not going to answer the phone!

Hi Sara. Please accept my apologies for the issues you have had. Clearly it is not in our interest to make booking difficult for you! We have a new online booking system which should be fully up to date with available bookings and we are receiving bookings through this system - hopefully if you do decide to try again then this will help you. We are open Wednesday to Friday 4:00pm up to 8:00pm and all day Saturday and Sunday, with school holidays open all day also. On top of that we are open for escape rooms during the day Wednesday to Friday. We do also supply a dedicated email address and a website form, both of which are monitored regularly. If you email info@vire.zone with your details I would be delighted to discuss further and help where I can. Once again - please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and rest assured we will look to improve in the future. Thanks Ian

30 minute Nerf battle and then an hour of virtual reality, with lots of games to choose from. Pizzas, garlic bread, milkshakes, cookies..... more than enough for 8 hungry boys! They all had an absolute blast! Very well organised by lovely staff. Highly recommended!

My son had a party at Vire for his 12th Birthday. It was extremely well run. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of fabulous food and everyone had a great time, that they are still all talking about it. We shall definitely be going back.
