travelled with my husband and 2 kids ages 14 and 10 and this was our third year staying at julian forest. As usual we had a brill holiday and it was great to see Hakan,Ismail,Vahit and lots of other familiar faces. These guys are brill and my kids just loved them! The new entertainment team were great too and my daughter especially loved Roberto who always made a fuss of her and had time to chat to her.
The flexi dine is a great value option although i think maybe the evening menu needs a change as we preferred the snack menu. We did choose of the snack menu at night and it wasnt a problem to the excellent waiters and kitchen staff.
The daily entertainment was great but the dancers in the evening got very repetitive. We much preferred quizzes etc.
All in all we had a great holiday made even better by our free room upgrade for last few days! Julian Forest is a top spot and i would love to go back however the change to half board next year would put me off and I have heard a lot of others say the same.
Thanx folks
The Johnstons xo

Initially you'll be hounded about flexi-dine when you refuse you can forget about getting any kind of service. Our room never saw a vacuum, cloth or mop in 2 weeks. Charged under occupancy as the room is apparently suitable for 4 adults, we travelled with 2 adults & 2 kids (13 year olds). 1 of the beds was little more than a cot with no sides! 4 adults in this apartment would've been tight at best. Electricity was turned off during the night without prior warning, therefore no air con, phones didn't charge up etc. Couldn't even make a cup of tea 1 morning!!! Brochure was misleading, 10 minute walk into town! What a joke maybe with a prevailing wind and a motorcycle. Took a good 30-40 minutes to walk into 'civilisation'. Hotel advertises flumes- they don't however mention that they are only on for an hour a day!!!
All in all, Icemelar was fab. Julian forrest was poor to say the least

Had friends who stayed at Julian Forest (but only found out after we booked) and they confirmed we would love it - we we not disappointed. Family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids aged 17,12,9) - it's difficult to get a place that suits younger kids and teenagers - well Julian Forest fits the bill. The best bits (for us anyway) - it's not one of those hotels that is massive and has rows upon rows of sunloungers - smaller so very friendly (met some fantastic people, very easily as it's so friendly). Very safe for the kids - pool out back of the hotel so you can relax and know the kids are safe and happy and kept amused by the brilliant slides and good sized pool etc. The sunlounger's aren't those horrible plastic ones that you stick to - lovely wooden beds (even some double ones) with very comfy mats (non stick). It's about 10 minutes out of the main town - but hey - the wee dolmus stops virtually outside the hotel door and for 1.50 lira, it's no problem - you;ve got the beautiful mountain scenery (and believe me it is gorgeous) and if you want the lively town just hop on the bus. They run right up to 1am and we even stopped the bus in town (but it was going to Marmaris) and the driver radio'd for one for us! Ecko and Roberto and team do a good job keeping us all entertained - yeh and if the music did get loud just ask them to turn it down or change the track (we even had Dire Straits tribute on one afternoon - FRANK!). They are happy to do this. wednesay night is BBQ/Turkish night - best nights at the hotel definately - great food, laughs, everyone ends up in the pool, hotel staff included, the synchonized swimmers put on a terrific show. Basically, he full team, manager (who very kindly responded to my e-mails prior to going - needed 2 rooms beside each other), receptionists (very friendly and extremley helpful), all the bar staff/waiters (fantastic), maids(special thanks to Maid Fatma who done a great job of keeping both our apartments clean), the team at the turkish bath including their manager (highly highly recommend getting a turkish bath), basically everyone done a brilliant job in making our holiday the best ever - would definatley go back, though heard they are not doing the flexi dine option next year which is a shame because it was great and the food was first class. We had no compaints about it, but was nice that it was up to us if we dined in or out - so that may put us off booking again for next year. We stayed in Marmaris at Julian Forest sister hotel last year and enjoyed it, but it's not a patch on Julian Forest, Icmeler. Thank you guys for a holiday to remember.

Room Tip: e-mail the hotel and they will do their very best to with room choice - we had rooms1207 & 1209 ground floor facing pool - lovely.

Lovely place Icemeler but was very dissapointed with the hotel. Too far from town but luckily buses and taxis were never far away. I don't think our room was cleaned at all during our stay just the beds straightened every day and the level of service once you refused their flexi dine service was sub standard. Would not up back to Julein Forest but Icemeler was lovely
