This is a small, unsophisticated hotel that cannot and does not compete with its more upmarket competitors. A small family run business, it is more a clean 2* guesthouse. The bedroom fittings are plain and simple, but I didn't pay to look at the condition or the paintwork of the cupboard doors. The rooms are basic, with no tea making facilities, no television, fridge, hairdryer, or pool towels, so take the latter two. There is some wi-fi, but if your life is geared around the internet, then you may be very disappointed with the variability of the connection. It is poor to non-existent.

The pool is small and is in sunshine from about 10am - 4pm, the rest of the time in shade. The hotel is 25 yards down a small cobbled road off the main 'through-way'. That road is busy and noisy with every other business a bar/restaurant and although the Olyum is quiet(ish) as it has double glazing the noise does get in from other establishments.

One commentator suggested going bed only, and that is a good observation, as every local establishment offers a full English breakfast for about £2. So if that is your preference, you may consider buying breakfast elsewhere.
I had a balcony room, and feel the basement rooms, although airy, could be a bit claustrophobic.
I was made to feel very welcome, as this is an easy-going hotel, with Rose and her family doing a good job in what is a very competitive market. But if you more 'sophistication', then you would be better off staying in a modern, 'corporate' hotel of which there are dozens. You get what you pay for.

The only downside I encountered was it was the end of the season, and Rose was closing the hotel around me. I was offered accommodation at her brothers hotel, but that was over and beside noisy bars, and so I declined. But she really shouldn't have taken any booking if she knew she was shutting down. The small party who arrived after me had no facilities to speak of, although Rose did her best to make them feel welcome.

Room Tip: Don't have a basement room

I have already stayed at this boutique hotel 3 times before and have never been disappointed, the rooms are clean and cleaned regularly, the towels are chged every couple of days, the staff are friendly and will help with anything especially Rose who manages the place, David ( real name Dusun ) behind the bar and Nico who is a great chef, try his ottoman, you will not regret it.
You feel safe and secure here and not far from shops, beach and restaurants or if you just want to chill by the pool then that is very private as well.
Remember this is a 3 star boutique hotel, if you want 5 star then you have to pay for 5 star, remember what you are paying for your stay with a nice Turkish breakfast ( English breakfast about £2.20 ) and put it into perspective, if you are very fussy then and find fault in everything go 5 star and leave our little gem of a hotel alone.

Room Tip: Make sure you do not get put in attic room as if you are tall you will bang your head on the ceiling.

This is a great place to stay. It's in the centre of the town, only a few minutes away from the shops, bars, cafes etc and only a few minutes from the beach. It's a nice quiet location though.
It's family run by some lovely people who are extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean, tidy and comforatble. Honestly, can't say enough good things about the place. (My only criticism would be that the shower in our room was not great at all, but that in the big picture in minor!)
The pool is wonderful...really really clean. The bar is really good, and we joined in for the Turkish evening one night (not usually our sort of thing) but it was really fun.
The family take pride in what they do and it shows.
You have to take it for what it is though. It's a 2-3 star hotel. If you're looking form something plush then this is not the place for you. It's a brilliant base.
