Today my hubby and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary, and since we love French cuisine, we decided to try this restaurant in Frederick.
The reviews were great, so I was excited to go try it.
First of all, the service was really nice and polite and deserves 5 stars. As for the food, I would give the place 3.5 stars. It felt more like American cuisine than French. The best thing we ordered was the Duck Poutine. That was very unexpected and really good! Then we had the butternut squash soup, which was quite heavy, unlike other French-style soups.
For the main course I had scallops, and my hubby had N.Y. Strip steak special. They were both ok, nothing to write home about.
We also had a bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier champagne which was great.
Overall, if you want huge portions and more American-tasting cuisine than French, then this is your place. Otherwise, not so much.
