We came across the gardens whilst walking in the area. Nothing very special but there is a very interesting old roman fish salt factory. Lots of well established sub tropical trees to see and some sculptures too. There seems to be several entrances to the park. It’s a relaxing walk.

A small park filled with palm trees, ferns etc. from around the tropics. Also has an added bonus of the ruins of a Roman fish factory inside (!)

Nice place to hide from sun and enjoy palm trees and other beautiful plants. There are also some sculptures situated along the paths.

The first thing that was noticeable about this park is that it had several entrances, so access to it was very good. It is also quite small so impossible to get lost. As I suspect with most parks in Spain during the spring/summer months, there is very little grass and what there is, is not very green. Apart from that, the park is regularly maintained with a good array of flowers and trees, interspersed with lots of walkways. The location of the park gives just about the best view of the castle and there is a large stag which is used for various entertainment shows throughout the season. In one corner of the park, there are what appears to be Roman ruins which in fact turn out to have been used salting pits for fish. These do not look very appealing, but do have some historic interest.
