Owner description: This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

“Pandas!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

Visited as a part of the Atlanta City Pass. The best thing about this visit was seeing the Pandas. Don't get to see these too often (if ever). Pretty standard zoo experience other than that. Train ride would be awesome if it went throughout the entire zoo!

“Can't Compare to Fort Worth Zoo”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2012

Good zoo, but doesn't come close to Fort Worth Zoo, in my opinion. Lots of shade, fairly reasonable refreshment prices.

“Animals more active if cooler.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

If you plan a summer visit, you might want to get an early start. Several animals seem more active before noon and late afternoons.
