We stayed for two nights in this delightful b&b, on the 3rd and 4th October in room 5, the Schubert Suite This historic house, which was built in 1820, is about 5 miles from Woodstock on route 4 which is moderately busy. I learnt from George that all the inns round Woodstock are on main roads anyway.
We very much enjoyed sitting and chatting to the other guests at the breakfast table. The breakfasts were wonderful, particularly the baked apple and cinammon pancakes with maple syrup. George and David were delightful hosts and gave us helpful tips. The guided tour of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Mansion is very good and the Quechee Gorge is well worth seeing.More
