We adored our two days at lovely Follonico! It's a quaint family farm with a unique design aesthetic (vintage items strewn everywhere!) and stunning 360-degree views of the area. Chickens and geese roam freely as you eat gourmet breakfasts and take in the beautiful surrounding vineyards. It's the perfect place to unwind. Thanks to Suzanne and Fabio for being excellent hosts! Tip: The two rooms detached from the house have a beautiful patio.

We spent one night here and wished it could be more. Suzanne was away but Fabio could not have been more welcoming. We had had a rather uninspiring lunch in Montefollonico so his offer of a bottle of local wine with salami and cheese for our evening meal was extremely kind. The room was very large and attractively furnished with some artistic boho chic touches. Indeed the ceremonial sword was very useful for retrieving my electric toothbrush which had fallen down a crack! We slept so well as the shutters were efficient and you are well away from civilisation.

Some constructively meant suggestions:
- the signage from the road was non existent- we could not have found it but for Google Maps
- the breakfast had some original touches such as spinach wraps and apple pastries. Given that the food is left out whilst guests drift in I would cover against flies and freshly made coffee would be a good touch instead of a preprepared jug.
- If there were room on the property for a small guest kitchen we would come back for a much longer stay as the place is so lovely you don't really want to go out for dinner!

What you see is not what you get. What you see is stunning rooms, beautiful surroundings mixed with friendly animals. What you don't see is Fabio and Suzzannes charm and hospitality, beautifully served breakfast along with local knowledge and helpful guidance. We spent 2 nights at Folloncino and wished we spent more...

Have just come back from Follonico. Stayed for 4 nights and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is the most beautiful, tranquil place. Fabio and Suzanne were wonderful and provided the most thorough "ideas document" of things to do and places to go that I have ever had. Our room was incredibly comfortable. The breakfasts were to die for. I am lucky enough to travel a lot and Follonico was truly wonderful. Philippa

We had the best 5-night stay at Follonico. Fabio and Suzane couldn't have been better hosts — they provide a great guidebook with recommendations prior to arrival and were more than happy to help with suggestions, ideas, etc. during our stay. The property was amazing! It was the right amount of rustic with such close attention to detail from the room decor to the beautiful landscaping. The location was really nice, not too far to get into Montefollonico or Montepulciano but remote enough to have beautiful views and peace + quiet. Hope we'll be able to make another trip to stay at Follonico!

Room Tip: Stay in the "Blue Notte" room for a view of Montepulciano out your window and a little extra space!
