We booked to stay 10 months in advance but cancelled within a few days of the booking as we decided to stay at another part of the island to suit our travel arrangements.
We were able to cancel without charge but were then asked for our bank account details even though the deposit (which we disputed was payable) was taken from the credit card , details of which were given at the time of booking.
In all our years of travelling we have never been asked for bank account details to be provided in this way and for this purpose. It was appropriate and normal for the repayment to be made to the credit card but this establishment said it was not possible and refused to do this, insisting that bank account details be provided.
What kind of establishment does this? There was nothing on the booking conditions that made it clear that repayment of the deposit would be done in this way.
After many phone calls and emails, the booking company repaid the amount to us and said it would recover the money from th establishment.
So beware of this odd and inappropriate financial policy of this establishment. Glad we're not staying there!More
