“A nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2012

I stayed here for a business meeting that I had over the weekend. I had a nice room on the 17th floor that looked out on the river. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel itself is right on the redline on the Kendall stop which is convenient. They have a nice bar Champions in which we had some beers at and our lunch during our meeting from the hotel was good. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and were inviting. Another perk is that they have Starbucks in the lobby.

I stayed here for a couple nights for business. The room was very comfotable, and I had a view of the Charles river which was nice. The wireless was pretty slow in the room and the meeting rooms. The lobby was always crowded, but there"s a Starbucks in the lobby, so that was nice. We ate at Champions and it was good for lunch. For dinner, the hotel is within walking distance to several spots. We went to Legal Seafoods and it was about a block away from the hotel. I would stay here again if I'm in the area for business.

Check-in was swift and I was quickly in my room. A very comfortable king size bed with sofa, flat screen TV and fridge were also in the room. The set up means you have the sink in one corner of the room situated just outside the bathroom. The room was clean and bright due to the large floor to ceiling windows.

Internet is charged at $9.95 per 24 hours or free in the lobby area. There is a large bar come eatery just off the lobby, Champions. There is a Starbucks in the lobby.

This hotel in located in Kendall Square so convenient for the transport system. Tour buses stop a few yards from the front door. The hotel is surrounded by office buildings meanings it is very quiet on the Sunday. You can walk across the river to the Copley Square area this should take approx 25 mins.

On the down side, due to the size of the hotel 26 floors, there were large numbers of students staying meaning room doors were banging until the early hours of the morning. Make sure you don’t get one of the rooms right by the lift otherwise you may not rest as well as you would hope.

Room Tip: Keep clear of those by the lifts, some may appear to be slightly away but you will still hear them r...

this is an outstanding hotel. the front desk staff upon arrival was one of the most efficient i've seen. they're accomodating, welcoming and have a real handle on desires of their guests. the rooms were fine - i was given an accessible one. champions, the bar and restaurant, is an odd take on a sports bar...more cafeteria feel than sports bar, but the food was fine. it's just opposite the kendal T stop, so easy in and out. the internet was the worst, however. don't spend the money unless you're connecting the cable into your laptop. the wireless is all less and no wire. you'd think, since it's surrounded by MIT, that internet accessability would be high on their list.

I was on business as I always am and instead of staying dowtown at the Waterfront like I have in the past, I stayed at Cambridge Marriott. The first glance was nice with the large lobby and escalator to floor 2. However, when I had a chance to relax and go to the pool I forgot to bring my slippers. The floors in the pool deck and the locker rooms were VERY DIRTY. I laid towels on the floor where I changed as I was unsure as the cleanliness.
I will likely be back to The Boston Waterfront. I'm stricking out with Marriotts as of late...
