Description: Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street deftly combines the warmth and coziness of a traditional neighborhood pub with the aesthetic of a contemporary restaurant. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Grafton Street's spacious sidewalk patio. The restaurant offers full bar service and boasts a seasonally-changing wine list with over 75 varieties, as well as a robust selection of craft beers from several local breweries.

Six of us had dinner here during Boston restaurant week. We ordered from the restaurant week menu (3-course $28) and also selected wine pairing. The selection was good and quality of the food was good as well. It was nice wine pairing and very generous too: 3 full size wines for $24. The only thing - our waiter mixed up the wines and brought wines for the second course with first course meal. It was fixed after we told him about it.

Overall: good selection, great food and wines, very generous portions.

Stopped here for lunch one day, completely unplanned. We had visited Harvard Square and just happened to get hungry. My husband picked the spot and it was a good choice. We were seated right away and experienced excellent service. We opted for fish and chips, a burger, pizza. Our food was served quickly and we all enjoyed our choices. We found the value to be good, moderately priced. I really liked the way this restaurant looked. It was decorated nicely, was interesting, not overly "busy" or kitschy, and the layout was nice. It did not feel crowded. Bathrooms were clean. A great choice. Recommended.

Have eaten here four times. First two times were good, second poor, third terrible. Do not go here. Third visit was lunch. Despite few customers, service took way too long, was inattentive, poor attitude, then the meal was poor and a sandwich left out a key ingredient. Expensive on top of all that. There are lots of options in the area.

Very friendly wait staff, excellent selection of draft beers and drinks, moderately priced, great service, and everything we have eaten after several visits has been delicious.

Chose this as it was close to where I was staying (near Harvard Sq) and because it was recommended. Has a straightforward menu, good beer and pleasant staff. What’s not to like?
