I absolutely love this hotel. It is located right on Memorial Drive between Harvard and MIT which are both short walks away. Across Memorial Drive is the Charles River so many of the rooms offer a fantastic river view. If you don't get a river view, fear not, you will get a great view of Boston instead.

Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Parking is extra (and expensive) but can handle any size vehicle (which is not always the case in Boston). It is very easy to get to because it's just off the Mass Pike.

You can walk to Starbucks, Dunkin', Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

It is an absolute perfect base of operations for college visits (especially Harvard, MIT, and BU), Red Sox games, etc. The Memorial Drive bike path is right outside the hotel so bring your bike and running shoes! .

An Uber to Fenway Park was just $7.00 or we could have made the 1.5 mile walk.

I've now stayed at this hotel over 5 different times over the past several years during all different times of the year.. Each stay has delivered a consistent, outstanding experience. For a fairly large hotel with lots of people coming and going we have always been able to get a good night's rest.

Room Tip: When traveling with family, we like the rooms with two beds.

Despite the advertising material saying that a shuttle bus was available, it wasn't. This was not good. So a taxi is needed to get to downtown Boston. Cost for this was about 20 dollars each way. Reception staff a little off hand. Seemed disinterested in the fact that the bus was not actually an option.

I was in town visiting my daughter at BC and searched for close hotel....this one popped up. So not as close to BC as I hoped, but enjoyable stay nonetheless. Older looking from the outside but very updated and clean inside. Don't judge the book by its cover.
Great location right on the river, and plenty of dining options within walking distance. Typical friendly and accommodating Marriott staff added to my overall very positive experience at the property. Yup workout room and free breakfast...I can see myself coming back soon.

All around good mini hotel made better by MOD Matt - strong service orientation -- he really gets it.

Otherwise would have been a 2/5. Good bus center, bistro, tech, etc. Even help finding restaurants. Weak point was horrid food prep from conference attendees. And some staff uncaring about service at Bistro (utensils, glasses, service).

Special positive shout outs to Matt at front desk and gentlemen (Miguel?) at Bistro. They set examples for others to follow.

Room Tip: Aim for xx01 for river view away from Elevator (but it is on the road/traffic)

Boston is a bit quirky and the Cambridge Courtyard takes that one step further. The hotel varies from the typical Courtyard in both its facility and services. Rooms are smaller than normal for a courtyard but adequate; in two stays this year everything in the room was well-maintained although the thermostat is a challenge to decipher. The hotel offers a Japanese restaurant in addition to a more-typical lounge with food service and drinks. Best bet for breakfast is to exit through the back door and head to the Starbucks or Trader Joes. Walking along the Charles River is fun if you're heading to MIT or some other point East of the hotel.

Room Tip: Views of Boston and the Charles River are good for rooms facing east.
