We stayed for one night and are definitely going back. We got a lakeside pitch which was hard stand but we didn't want to put up the awning up for one night anyway. It was a beautiful day so a great buzz about the place. Lots to do here, kayaking, swimming tennis. There is a diving board for the kids. The views of the lake were spectacular. Laundry, toilets and showers open, some facilities need to be booked. It's a short cycle to the village of Mountshannon or 20 min walk. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped off at this pleasant camp site on the shores of Lough Derg. Very nice staff, working very hard to keep the facilities clean and Covid free. The site is well laid out. The trees and bushes need a bit of attention before they get overgrown and unsightly. Will be using it again and hopefully staying for a longer duration. The village is a bit of a ghost town, didn't see any shops, so make sure you are organised with essentials.

Stayed here in August for 1 night we were blessed with dry warm weather staff were helpful, 2 adults and 1 child in a tent rate was 24 euro very reasonable, fire pits available for hire is great 5 euro and you can buy fire logs on site or bring your own which we did. Pitched our tent looking over lough derg fantastic views, check out at 12 following day. Lovely campsite will definitely return next summer.

The location is absolutely stunning, I got to camp right by the water side, really beautiful place to pitch. The facilities here are modest and we'll maintained, but seem to be showing their age a bit and could use a refresh. As others have said this campsite feels very close to nature and the toilets, etc are built as huts which is great, they just felt like they could use modernising somehow whilst keeping the natural/minimal feel.

Cost was €20 for a solo motorcycle traveller which seemed a little bit expensive to be honest. €15 might be more reasonable.

Overall a great campsite though.
