Owner description: The Secret Lagoon natural pool is located in the village of Fludir in the Golden Circle area. The historical surroundings have been kept natural and simple for a unique and authentic experience. The pool is surrounded by several hot springs, including a little geyser, providing the pool with fresh warm water, maintaining a temperature of 38-40 °C throughout the year. In the winter the northern lights can often be seen in the area and what better way to experience the light show than relaxing in the warm water surrounded by the steam from the earth? The Lagoon offers brand new facilities next the hot spring with showers, bar and eating area. Food is not served daily but can be arranged for groups when arranged in advance. Feel free to contact the staff for any inquiries or for a group deal.

Visited here with my other half for an evening soak. Unfortunately as we needed to drive to our campsite a way away (it being winter) we couldn't have a nice drink in the pool which is one of its attractions.

If you're a group of friends I think this would be really, really fun, but even as a couple it was worth the money to warm up and relax!

Far less touristy than Blue Lagoon... much more friendly and relaxed. Beautifully kept natural thermal pool, big enough but keeps a cosy atmosphere. Clean showers... not sure how secret it'll end up being!

It was a lovely experience. Beautifully warm /hot with a historic feel to it. The showers and changing areas were fine I must admit I changed in the bathroom. And showered in my bathing suit

We went at 11am before we toured the Golden circle. It is very organised and professional and more established than I had predicted. You do have to shower naked beforehand but it is no big deal, you can be be discrete. The pool is gorgeous when you first get in although it can be really hot in some spots so be careful to take breaks, I felt faint when I got out! I found the surroundings are a little disappointing compared with the beauty of other places in Iceland. It is well worth doing either this or the blue lagoon, although for a short trip both may be unnecessary.

Secret Lagoon is great. Not the tourist trap like the Blue Lagoon. A bit out of the way, but well worth the drive. A great hot springs - they provide Noodles, showers, changing rooms - and even swimsuits and towels if needed...! A great place to go with a group of friends - a lot cheaper than Blue Lagoon.
