The place to go before or after visiting the famous cave. Very scenic and quaint Gasthaus right next to the picturesque Wimsen cave. Outdoor and indoor seating. Reasonably priced and good quality food but not really great. Parking only 3 min walking distance. Wheelchair accessible. Friendly waiters but when I was there, not enough for the crowds on a Sunday afternoon. Great homemade pies.

Didn't eat here myself, but a great location for a riverside drink. Children (and adults) can feed the trout and there is a vending machine nearby (20 cents) with suitable fish food.

This place is nicely located by a cave and the water that flows from it. Sitting outside connects you with nature in a unique way. However, you wonder why they couldn't find someone more appropriate to run it. Service can be slow and the food is at best average. They sure know how to charge a pretty penny! Bit of a shame but the setting is stunning

The Tress family runs this excursion Gasthof as well as the Rose. They produce with local ingredients, have their own biological farm and count with a young helpful team of waiters. This is not German, but Suabian food with a touch of innovation and good taste. On weekends with sun it is crowded as people come and sit, eat, have coffee and cakes, drink their wine or beer before or after they visited the cave. You can eat meat (from certified farms) or vegetarian and vegan dishes. It is also an excellent rest point for a walk through the fabulous glass valley (Glastal) towards Hayingen. In the beergarden go for suabian ravioli or susage and potato salad. They also produce vegetarian take away boxes.

The tomato soup was small and cold. Try better "Maultaschen with potato salad" - it was great!
The Restaurant has also a beer garden and it accessible also to wheelchairs.
