I felt compelled to review this wonderful restaurant!
A friend had recommended a visit but cautioned that the food had been variable in the past but was rumoured to have significantly improved.
We sat overlooking the river and were immediately taken care of by the ever attentive owner and "bon vivant" Robbie. The attention to detail in explaining the menu and the ongoing concern for our comfort and seating were tremendous.
The food was outstanding, the "entree plat" at only Euros 13.50 is a steal! Starters were superb but the main course duck was a delight, perfectly cooked and accompanied by fresh local vegetables. I had the pasta with fresh pesto and was thoroughly impressed.
All of this was accompanied with wine, water and coffee for a mere Euros 42.50 for two. Desert was an amazingly good mousse selection, not to be missed, nor the tirimasu. Outstanding service, great food, ambience and a perfect view...there are few better places around to have a leisurely lunch. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

We wanted steamed mussels, and called at the neighbouring restaurant L'ecailler where we did not realise the mussels were served raw. Full credit to the owner who realised our mistake and directed us next door, with out partly drunk bottle of wine, We were received with warm arms and duly devoured fresh mussels served in a white wine and parsley sauce with a mixture of other very tasty ingredients, which we mopped up with lovely soft bread. The accompanying frites were drizzled with a local oil and extremely tasty.A lovely meal served by a vert friendly and accommodating owner.

We love this place, and every year we do the brocantes at Easter, we lunch here.
Great food, great service and good value for money, and to top it all, a really nice seat right by the river in the sunshine.
What more could you want?

Went there recently for supper. We were greeted by what we believe is the owner a charming gentleman, who did his best to make the entire evening quite enjoyable. He ushered us in and seated us quickly. The place is simply yet invitingly decorated, clean with lovely mood music playing in the background. We ordered drinks, which came quickly. We then ordered our meal, beef steak (bull) with a side salad and cod with vegetables. After a reasonable time the meals were delivered as ordered. Unfortunately, the meals were not great, but not terrible either. The steak was tough, though cooked as requested, while the salad and French fries served with it were very good. The cod, while good, was a little dry. The boiled vegetables, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes and green beans, on the other hand, were very good. The cod was also served with an aioli sauce which also was quite good. The final price - 38 Euros - was reasonable for what you got. Perhaps the steak was tough because it is bull meat, but I can't explain away the dry cod. Overall, I would like to think this was just one of those nights where parts of a meal shine while other parts disappoint. Nevertheless, that drops this restaurant - at least for this meal down a notch. With so many other choices available, it makes going back for a meal unlikely.

Walking around after the Sunday market and spotted this outdoor restaurant. We sat down and ordered a salad (not paying attention to the price because it all see!Ed so casual). .....two salads, one with duck and one with salmon was over $45.00! Coffee and wine extra. I will say that the staff is friendly and effective, but but that priceong was very steep.
