We felt well in the restaurant. The food was good, the recommended wine as well. The ambience is a bit poor - or simple.

Fantastic venue - love the quiet ambience compared to frenetic L'Isle. View excellent.
Meal of Jouels du porc was scrumptious, with 0.5L red at total 33 Euro was value.
Only disappointment was not able to order meal at riverside table.
Will definitely return

We were in the area on a vintage/classic car tour. Initially we tried to find somewhere to eat in town but couldn't find any parking. Gerty Garmin suggested Le Pescador so we tried it. Ample parking was the first plus, a warm greeting from Juliem was the second. Great atmosphere, we were just two of us but it seemed very family friendly, we appeared to be the only Brits, all others appeared local. We were guided through the menu by a lovely young lady whose name, sadly, we don't have but she was excellent. We chose the menu and decided on the buffet starter, a huge pot of simmering fish soup and an amazing buffet, many cold meats and terrines, smoked salmon etc. A huge variety of salads etc. After partaking we were enthusiastically encouraged to return for more ! The locals certainly took advantage !
The second time we ate there the menu offered fresh trout. As we were completing our first course we noticed a young man going out with a net, minutes later he came to the table with two live trout in the net. Within minutes they were on the table.Delicious! Then the service really came to the fore. Maisie has some manual difficulties ( rheumatoid arthritis ) which had obviously been noticed on our first visit. Very discretely Juliem offered to help and displayed great professionism by very skilfully removing the bones. It was much appreciated. All in all a very enjoyable experience. Thanks guys !

We had a lovely buffet starter with prawns, jambon cru, lots of salads, smoked salmon. Soups de poison was also available followed by. A choice from the menu. We had trout straight from the river which was perfectly cooked. The deserts were extravagant; isles flottante, lots of ice creams, and rich chocolate mousse. There are jets spraying fine droplets of moisture to keep diners cool. Most of the tables are outside under an old plane tree plus umbrellas to provide shade. The restaurant is a little out of the town centre butneasilynfound by following signs for 'Partage des eaux'. Booking essential on Sunday's, and. Car parking not easy so best not to be too late arriving. Service is slick and professional.

Staff at this restaurant were very friendly, but the food and outdoor seating were nothing special, especially considering the standard of food in the area.

The outlook is quite pretty, overlooking 'la partage des eaux', which is a quiet area where the two rivers part.

We stopped for lunch, and ended up having a 3 course set menu as was nearly the same price as a single main (as with lots of places in France).
