My wife and I and two friends used Isle-sur-la-Sorgue as our base to attend the Sunday antiques market and explore the hill towns of the Luberon. Looking for a restaurant for dinner we saw the Restaurant le Bellvue and at first thought it may be merely a tourist eatery, because of its prominent location along the river. However, when we noticed a number of locals dining there, we decided to give it a try. We couldn't have been more pleased.
My wife tried the salad Nicoise, and I had the Salad Bellevue, which was loaded with delicious smoked salmon, shrimp, lardons, and foie gras on a bed of very fresh veggies. Both were excellent! If you like dark chocolate, the fondant au chocolat is the dessert for you; it was decadent. The tarte au citron was delicious as well. Service was quick and very attentive.
