“great place in a great little town”

We had a great time using this place as home base while we explored Southern France. We also cooked meaIs here a number of times .Two teenagers had bedrooms of their own and we took the master. It was pleasant , clean, and uncluttered. The porches are great for warm days, and It was useful to have a washer on site. The town is wonderful and the housekeeper is a wonderful contact to have right in town,

Liked best: great location
Liked least: I was too neurotic to try getting our long rental car maneuvered into the garage but street parking worked out .

“Lovely village house in centre of the town”
Reviewed 4 November 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Le Jardin Secret is a nice traditional village house with two good outside areas. It has a spacious living area with air conditioning and good facilities. A great location in the centre of the village near to many restaurants and not far to the quayside restaurants at the Port. It was a bit hot in the bedrooms although there are fans to cool you down. Marseillan is a lovely friendly village in a great location for exploring the surrounding countryside and vineyards.

“Spacious self contained retreat in beautiful authentic french village and port”
Reviewed 5 June 2012 for a stay in May 2012

The property combined authentic french architecture with a modern contemporary feel. All facilities were of a very high standard and it was nice to have UK satellite viewing for the nights when we just wanted to curl up on the leather sofa with a bottle of local wine after a unhurried lazy meal at one of the many fine restaurants. The sun terrace got the rays all day and was perfect for chilling out. The stairs between each floor are steep but were needed to work off the fine dining experiences night after night! The port is a short walk away where there is a vast choice of restaurants and our favorite restaurant was just a couple of minutes walk in the centre of the village. The beach is a short drive away but it was always nice to come home to our non commercialised retreat. Thank you Stephane for all your help and we would reccomend this property without hesitation.

“Perfectly located for Languedoc adventures”
Reviewed 28 June 2011 for a stay in June 2011

This was our third time staying in the Languedoc region and the second time in Marseillan.
The house was perfectly set up for us with two kids (4 & 2).
The large garage & garden we perfect for playing and the bedrooms very spacious.
The open plan kitchen & lounge area had everything you could want.
The location of the house in the centre of the village was ideal for heading the nearest boulangerie for baguettes & pasteries, and also for strolling to the port to the restaurants & cafes.
Overall, it is an ideal house & location to explore the Languedoc region.
