My title tells it all....you can't find a better location in Seattle, right in the heart of the city. The staff has to be the nicest, friendliest, aim to please group of people in any city hotel that I have stayed at.The facilities, pool, gym (men, women & coed), spa, massage, beauty salon, it has everything you need, one stop shop.

As for the rooms, we got 2 papers daily, booked the San Juan Suite, Room 1011, was perfect for our 5 night stay. We were there for a wedding, so had to pack way too much, lots of events. We had 2 closets, living room, 1.5 bathrooms, nice comfy king bed, lots of windows, and they open, so fresh air. View to the west, mostly big buildings but also a slice of Puget Sound. Nice walk in shower, great water pressure and separate tub. Double sink vanity. The room was perfect for our needs.

Only problem was the elevators that took forever, but they are upgrading all the electronics, so its a temporary shortfall. They have multiple eating options, food is not one of their strong suits but what the heck, you got Pike Place Market a 5-10 min walk away. I will probably never look for another hotel in that city and always stay at the WAC.

Room Tip: upgrade to deluxe or suite

We stayed at the Inn at the WAC as guests of our relatives, who are local members. We checked in late, due to a delayed flight, and we were warmly greeted at the front desk, and given information about all of the amenities available to guests. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, with great views of Seattle.

The next day, we used the various fitness rooms, all of which had an extensive array of updated equipment (I had never used a sand-filled Bosu ball before!) The pool was perfect for a swim workout for my high school-aged daughter, who is a competitive water polo player.

The Inn was within easy walking distance from the Public Market, many cafes, and lots of taprooms. We enjoyed breakfast at Torchy's and evening drinks at Hagerty's onsite.

If we had stayed longer, I would have enjoyed a service at the Spa, and more exploring around Seattle. The Inn is very centrally located, and there is much to see and do, a short walk or Lyft ride away.

Thank you to the staff and management for every aspect of our stay!

The Washington Athletic Club opened in 1930 (soon to feel the effect of the Great Depression) and the building has been recognized as a Seattle landmark.

The lower levels house restaurants, a 5-level athletics facility and then the hotel towers high above the building. The location is quite central, which unfortunately leads to a fair degree of traffic noise even 20-levels above ground.

The athletics facilities are available to Inn guests and includes squash, weights, fitness classes, an indoor pool and segregated areas for men and women. It is definitely the best gym facilities you'll ever get in a hotel!

The Inn rooms are not small, but not particularly large. The bathroom is squeezed in rather tight and features a multi-function shower within the bathtub. The room was very clean. Free wifi is provided, which worked very well.

The lifts are currently being modernized, which leads to a bit of waiting time.

Recently we had the pleasure of staying at the WAC hotel in July. Our room was on the 19th floor and had something almost unheard of in a hotel...a Balcony! It is so relaxing to be able to sit out with our beverages, enjoying a sunset over the water and the sights of the city.

The balcony room is about 275 square feet, while it isn't the biggest room you can find, it is beautifully decorated, the space is well thought out and has everything you need. The bathroom has a wonderful body spray panel in the shower, extra towels without asking and far better that average toiletries.

After a cozy sleep in one of the most comfortable beds with luxurious bedding, we enjoyed coffee and the newspaper on the balcony again. It was fun to watch the city wake up.

Every staff member we came in contact was pleasant and very willing to help. With the convenient location of the hotel, it is a perfect place to enjoy all of the experiences of Downtown Seattle.

We will certainly plan another visit in the future.

Room Tip: The balcony room is worth the upgrade!
